Chef Thomas Makowski started working in the kitchen of a banquet conference center at the age of 16 and quickly realized his love for food and service. Inspired by his family and many friends, he quickly learned his passion centered on creative cuisine. Chef Tom's high standards helped him to graduate at the top of his culinary school class in Connecticut. He worked his way up through the ranks in some top hotels and restaurants. Prior to moving to Charleston SC, Chef Tom lived in Italy where he worked at a 5 star resort in Dozza called Monte Del Re and received his masters in Italian cuisine at the culinary institute for foreigners in Asti, Italy. Chef Tom works with a great deal of energy and has a sincere love for cooking. He is 100% client-centered and determined to provide a consistent and memorable experience every time. Chef Tom Makowski has 10+ years' experience with corporate dining, Michelin star restaurants, and recently was the Executive Chef for the Charleston International Airport in South Carolina.
