Assistant Innkeeper

Job description


This is a brand new position we've just created.  This is a great opportunity for someone looking to serve in a little bit of everything.   The ideal candidate will work a little bit in every aspect of running an Inn.  Including but not limited to, breakfast, housekeeping, front desk, maintenance, lawn care, marketing,  and just providing amazing customer service to our guests.  This is a salaried position likely working between 45-50 hours per week. Housekeeper

Job description

We're accepting applications for housekeeping staff. Hours and days are somewhat flexible, but will primarily be 9:00am - 3:00pm and does include weekends. Front Desk/Marketing

Job description


We're are currently looking for a front desk/marketing agent with the ability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week, but can potentially go up to full time.  First impressions are a major part of making people feel welcomed and wanted — and being involved with the front desk and marketing makes you the first impression and the PRE-first impression. Because of the dual nature of the role, your daily expectations will be varied.

Front Desk responsibilities include:

- Answering phones
- Making reservations
- Greeting guests as they check-in and check-out
- Listening and responding to any concerns guests raise during their stay, and escalating to management when appropriate
- Ensuring each room meets standards of cleanliness and order before check-in
- Restocking/tidying common areas
- Providing local recommendations to guests

Marketing responsibilities could include:

- Planning/creating/scheduling social media campaigns
- Writing and sending newsletter updates
- Making updates to the website
- Creating content for our blog
- Creating graphics/collateral for other areas of the inn
- Implementing new ways to improve customer retention
- Creating paid ads (social media and potentially radio)

Shift: Weekdays, no weekends, no nights
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience: Hotel: 1 year (Preferred)
